Hillsboro –  Wilbert W. Hellman, 89, died October 30, 2019 at Salem Home in Hillsboro.  He was born October 22, 1930 in Marion County to William and Helen (Giesbrecht) Hellman.  He married Jeanie Schattak June 22, 1957 in Durham.  Survivors include: wife, Jeanie Hellman of Hillsboro; son, Bill Hellman of Hillsboro; daughter, Brenda (Allen) Strecker of Salina; grandchildren, Mindy and Tony of Shawnee, Nathan of Salina.  The family will have no public services.  Memorials to Donors Choice in care of Jost Funeral Home P.O.   2. I will always fondly remember Uncle Wilbert’s Korean war recollections, and the times he and Jeannie helped me out when I was a student at Tabor.
