The full and good life of John K. Garrard, Antelope, Kansas, will be celebrated on January 26 at 2:00 p.m.,
Marion Community Center, 203 N. Third, Marion, Kansas. John was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico on
March 10, 1936. He finished his life journey on January 17, 2019 in Marion, Kansas surrounded by his
loving family. He graduated from Lamar High School, Lamar, Colorado on June 1, 1955. He married
Rosemary Dody on June 2, 1955. Born to this union and surviving are John B. Garrard (Sandra),
Antelope, KS; Debbie Hardey (Randy), Goessel, Kansas; Jo Mead (Steve), Wichita, Kansas; and Robin
Arocha (Joe), Marion, Kansas. He was proud of his eleven grandchildren and seventeen great
grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents, six sisters and Rosemary. John will be
remembered for his humor, musical skills on the harmonica, as fisherman extraordinaire, and gardener.
He was known for sharing with friends and neighbors his garden produce and fishing acumen.

  4. John and Rosemary were such a big part of my childhood. They were wonderful friends and neighbors to my parents. I have so many beautiful memories with them both! They are reunited in Heaven and hopefully catching up with my Dad!
