Hillsboro – Anne Driver, 76, passed away December 24, 2018 at Hillsboro Community Hospital in Hillsboro.  She was born September 27, 1942 in Wichita to Noel and Betty (Hoover) Albert.  She married Vincent Driver November 28, 1970 in Wichita.  Survivors include: husband, Vincent Driver of Hillsboro.  Predeceased by son, Christopher Driver in 2014 and a sister, Judy Hooter in 2012.  Celebration of Life Service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at The Hillsboro United Methodist Church in Hillsboro.  Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m Friday at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.  Memorials to Salem Home in care of Jost Funeral Home P.O. Anne K. Driver, 76, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018.

Anne was born in Wichita September 27, 1942; the daughter of Noel (Budge) & Beatty Albert.

Anne married Vincent Driver November 28, 1970.  They raised one son; Christopher N. Driver.

The Driver family moved to Hillsboro January 1975 building two new homes over the years.

A dedicated homemaker throughout her life, Anne also gave childcare to over a dozen children in the Hillsboro area.

Anne and Vince’s care and fostering for their extended family included help with school, sports and weekend events.

An active member of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church, Anne also enjoyed weekly bridge parties, playing Bunko and Golf – – her crowning achievement being a “hole in one” at the Hillsboro Golf Course.

Christmas was Anne’s favorite holiday season, and her loved ones though saddened by their loss, feel hope and joy that she passed into light of Jesus our lord and savior, celebrating his gift to us all.

Anne is proceeded in death by her loving parents, her son Christopher, and sister Judy.

  1. We were so sorry to hear of Anne’s passing. I will remember her outgoing personality and generosity. My rememberances of her make me smile. She was like that. Anne (and Vince) were special people to my son in law and daughter in their compassion and thoughtfulness. She will be missed.

  2. Vince, we were very saddened to hear about Ann. We remember her caring fondly for our children when they were young. Our thoughts are with you.
